Abstract

The aims and objectives of this dissertation are to realise a preliminary design of a leisure sailing day-boat. At the beginning of the study, the different overall length of the boat had not yet been decided. A quick study of the market and research into the best compromise between length, space and luxury was carried out. It was decided that an approximately 50 foot long yacht is the best compromise and unusual for a day boat.
