Abstract

As the title describes, this project is aimed to determine the feasibility of converting HMS Warrior from its current state, berthed in Portsmouth harbour as a floating museum, into a fully functioning cruise ship. In order for this to be achieved, Warrior will have to undergo many changes. The first question which needs to be answered is. What will HMS Warrior be transformed into? And the second is. How will this be achieved? This second question forms the majority of this project. There are many options as to how Warrior could be changed. This ranges from: Changing her into a luxury cruise ship to rival the Star Clipper range of ships; to keeping her aesthetically original in design and turning her into an historical tall ship; or even a combination of the two.
